Damage to State at 27.8 Billion AMD Restored in 2018


The Prosecutor General’s Office has studied and finalized damage to the treasury caused by crimes revealed in 2018 and the status of compensation.

A study revealed that total damage caused by crimes revealed in 2018 was 84,869,951,060 AMD.

Of the mentioned cases, damage totaling 19,788,780,504 AMD was revealed by the investigative department of the State Revenue Committee, 11,893,702,087 AMD by the Special Investigative Service, and the remaining 34,127,890,461 AMD by the Investigative Committee.

The latter includes the damage at 23,553,817,000 AMD caused in the process of construction of the North-South Road Corridor.

Of total revealed damaged, in 2018 damage at 27,775,221,334 was revealed, and about 6,922,245,802 AMD is secured by seizure of currency or foreign currency. Of the mentioned cases 16,364,401,693 AMD was returned by the National Security Service, 8,544,256,013 AMD by the State Revenue Committee, 1,689,254,799 AMD by the Special Investigative Service,

and the remaining 1,177,308,829 AMD by the Investigative Committee.

Fines paid during the investigation of the criminal cases investigated by the National Security Service totaled 2,644,052,550 AMD.

Investigation of innumerable cases is not over yet. Attempts are taken to restore the remaining part of the damage to the state.
