If This Is the Assumption, Investigative Bodies Know Who Killed People on March 1: PM Pashinyan

Armenia

In his press conference on 19 March 2019 Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan commented on the claims of the second president Robert Kocharyan that retaliation against the second president is underway. The prime minister said they have proclaimed a revolution of love and friendship in Armenia and if they intended to do retaliation, they would do it promptly and directly, they had both time and possibility for that.

Nikol Pashinyan said the disclosure of murders of March 1 is key, people must make an account on why they replaced the bullets. “People are reluctant to say, this is not good but this does not mean that the investigation does not continue. Everything will be done to disclose March 1. There is no need to launch new proceedings because the proceedings have been launched. We are dealing at least at the level of the statements by law enforcement agencies with the fact that the bullets fired on March 1 have been replaced. Why had they been replaced? Because the examination of those bullets could have given answers to many questions, including on those who had ordered the murders,” he said.

According to Pashinyan, there is a second assumption that the bullets were replaced to cover up the involvement of the army. However, there is a high probability that the bullets found there were the bullets related to the murders. “If this is the assumption, it means the investigative body knew who were the murderers. Consequently, the people who initiated the replacement of bullets must be involved and testify,” he said.
