Indictment of Robert Kocharyan, Seiran Ohanyan, Yuri Khachaturov and Armen Gevorgyan was Sent to Prosecutor


The investigation of the events of 1-2 March 2008 in Yerevan for the part separated from the criminal case investigated by the Special Investigative Service is complete. The criminal case on the retired president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, the ex-chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Seiran Ohanyan, the ex-deputy minister of defense Yuri Khachaturov, and the ex-chief of staff of the President Armen Gevorgyan and the indictment has been forwarded to the supervising prosecutor with a motion to send to court.

As is known, Robert Kocharyan is accused of toppling the constitutional order and receiving a major bribe under Article 300.1 Para 1, Article 311 Para 4.2 of the Criminal Code.

Seiran Ohanyan is accused of toppling the constitutional order under Article 300.1.

Yuri Khachaturov is accused of toppling the constitutional order under Article 300.1.

Armen Gevorgyan is accused of assistance in toppling constitutional order, receiving a major bribe, legalizing property obtained in a criminal way under Article 38-300.1, Article 311Para 4.2, Article 190Para 3.1, the Special Investigative Service informed.
