My Step Parliamentary Group’s Decision on MP Tsarukyan

Armenia

My Step Parliamentary Group has decided to not call an Ethics Commission on the issue of Gagik Tsarukyan’s entrepreneurship, the head of the parliamentary group Lilit Makunts told reporters in parliament.

“The parliamentary group had a discussion on this and, in fact, we concluded that at the moment it is interesting and important for us to wait for the conclusion of the law enforcement agencies, at the same time initiating all necessary amendments to the legislation to fill the gaps and to make the committee permanent. However, this statement of ours does not mean that we rule out calling a committee. No, at this stage we prefer waiting for the conclusion of the law enforcement agencies,” Makunts said.

She said he does not want to answer the question whether their further actions will depend on the decision of the law enforcement agencies or not.

Note that Your Decision Party has proposed to My Step parliamentary group to call Ethics Committee to discuss the issue of depriving Tsarukyan of the parliamentary mandate.
