Minister of Justice Resigns

Armenia

The Minister of Justice Artak Zeinalyan has resigned. He posted on his Facebook:

“Dear friends, my dear people,

I have resigned from the position of the Minister of Justice. Taking on the position of the minister in this historical period for our people is was a super responsible step but also one aimed at having a possibility to resolve step by step the legal issues that occurred during work of a human rights activist.

I am satisfied with this step, I am grateful to Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to nominate me for the position of minister of justice, I am grateful to the staff of the Ministry for joint interesting, productive and responsible work. I am grateful to international partner, the civil society representatives for joint work.

I am sure everything is going to be alright … but if not alright, it is going to be excellent.”
