Speaker of Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan commented on MP Gagik Tsarukyan’s behavior who tore to pieces the summons of the Special Investigative Service and did not show up for the interrogation following his statement on the arson of the car and apartment door of the head of one of the electoral offices of the Civil Contract Party of the eve of the mayoral election in Abovyan.
Ararat Mirzoyan held out hope that Gagik Tsarukyan, like any other citizen of Armenia, will show up for interview upon receiving summons. All the citizens are equal before the law, including myself and Mr. Tsarukyan.
In answer to the question of the journalist on tearing the summons, Ararat Mirzoyan said Tsarukyan did not do the right thing but hopes that he will rethink his approach and will go. He also said that the summons was also sent to Tsarukyan’s work place, the National Assembly which he forwarded to Tsarukyan. Fortunately, it was an email and it is impossible to tear it to pieces, Ararat Mirzoyan said.
