On 1 December, 2019, Young European Ambassadors will bring “Human Rights Coffee Truck Ride” to the streets of Yerevan. Young people will offer free coffee cup with special QR code, featuring human rights related messages and have small talks on fundamental rights and why they are important for Armenian people. All interested invited to join this action, express own opinion on right to life, right to work, to marry, freedom of speech – and get free cup of coffee!
The coffee truck itself – a story of success, which became possible with EU support through iMigrantArmenia project. The focus of the project is to support labour migrants and their families to convert their migration potential into creation of innovative business models and start-ups in their communities. Come to meet Karen Petrosyan, coffee truck owner and listen to his story.
Young European Ambassadors of Armenia initiated “Human Rights Coffee Truck Ride” to mark the International Human Rights Day, and make their action at Aregak first inclusive cafe and bakery in Gyumri last year a good tradition.
The action will take place on 1 December 2019 from 14:00 till 16:00. The coffee truck will stop at the entrance of Republic Square metro station.
The ‘Young European Ambassadors’ initiative aims to foster cooperation and sustainable links between young people and youth organisations from the European Union (EU) and its Eastern Partner countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine. The network is primarily an online platform that facilitates the mutual exchange of ideas and information on the EU, as well as the engagement of young people in informative activities. It is focused on people-to-people contacts and dialogue-driven activities that contribute to greater awareness and improved perception of the EU and the enhanced assessment of its relations with the Eastern Neighbourhood.
