One new postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Prominent Armenians. 100th anniversary of Hrachya Hovhannissian”

On December 11th, 2019, one postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Prominent Armenians. 100th anniversary of Hrachya Hovhannissian” has been cancelled and put into circulation by “HayPost” CJSC in the premises of the Union of Writers of Armenia.

The postage stamp with nominal value of 120 AMD is printed in “Cartor” printing house in France with the print-run of 60 000 pcs. The author of the stamp’s design is the designer of “HayPost” CJSC David Dovlatyan.

The postage stamp depicts the famous Armenian poet, writer, translator, publicist and public figure Hrachya Hovhannissian (1919-1997).The background of the postage stamp depicts the fragments from the poems of Hrachya Hovhannissian.

The postage stamp was cancelled by Minister of High-Technological Industry of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan, the Chief Executive Officer of “HayPost” CJSC Haik Avagyan, the Chairman of Writers’ Union of Armenia Edward Militonyan, the President of the Union of Philatelists of the RA Hovik Musayelyan, Hrachya Hovhannissian Jr.
