112 of 136 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Have 2 Hotbeds

112 of the 136 confirmed cases of infection with COVID-19 are related to the cases of Etchmiadzin and the production facility in Shengavit, the spokesperson for the ministry of health Alina Nikoghosyan informed.

“Of the total confirmed 136 cases 112 are related to the two primary cases,” Nikoghosyan said.

The government of Armenia declared a state of emergency on 16 March 2020, at 6:30 pm which will be effective until 14 April 2020, 5 pm.

The first case of infection in Armenia was reported on March 1. The infected person arrived from Iran, has recovered and discharged from hospital. One of the primary cases was reported in Etchmiadzin and the other was reported in a production facility in Shengavit. Both had arrived from Italy.
