Restaurants, Some Industries Close for a Week to Reduce Spread of Virus

As part of the actions to stop the spread of coronavirus in Armenia cafes, restaurants, construction and several industries will be closed for a week starting from March 24, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on Facebook.

“We need to tighten the restrictions and have a stricter attitude to bans. From tomorrow all cafes and restaurants will be closed, only delivery services will be open. Some construction sites will be closed. Textile productions, several branches of industry will be closed too,” Pashinyan said. The prime minister said that food production, groceries will continue to work as usual, and the commandant will publish the list of allowed activities.

Nikol Pashinyan called on the citizens to limit movement and leave homes only if it is very necessary.
